Office 2019 Does Not Work On Windows 7

Which software platforms or operating systems are supported by Palisade?

Palisade's latest release, 8.0, is supported on Microsoft Office 2010 and newer, running on Windows 7 and newer. For older releases, see the compatibility charts below.

Please note: Some functions in our software may seem to work in some Office or Windows version that are not supported. But some functions will not work, or not work correctly, not necessarily with an obvious failure mode. We strongly recommend against running our software with unsupported Office or Windows versions, and we cannot assist with troubleshooting on unsupported platforms.

If you have an older version and need to upgrade for compatibility with Microsoft Office or Windows, please see Upgrading Palisade Software. Customers with a current maintenance agreement can receive the upgrade to our latest versions at no charge; others please contact your Palisade sales manager.

Microsoft Office Versions:

Palisade products with these version numbers require Microsoft Office for Windows to be installed on the same computer. Mac users, please see @RISK on the Apple Mac. Lotus, OpenOffice, LibreOffice, and StarOffice products are not supported.

Install office 2019 windows 7
  • Windows Server versions are not listed in the chart, because we have not done extended Quality Assurance of our end-user software with any Windows Server version. However, we are not aware of any incompatibilities between our end-user software and Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, or 2019 (through version 1903).
  • Vista and newer: Right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator; simply double-clicking may not work. After install and activation, the applications do not need admin rights.
  • All of our installers work in 32-bit and 64-bit Windows; but the RDK, BDK, EDK, and RODK must run in 32-bit processes. In 64-bit Windows, all products install in C:Program Files (x86).
  • Windows 8.1 with our 6.0 and 6.1 installers: Please see Installing Palisade Software 6.0 or 6.1 in Windows 8.1 before installing.
  • Windows 8 with our 5.7 and 6.0 installers: Please see Installing Palisade Software 5.7 or 6.0 in Windows 8 before installing.

Office 2019 For Windows 7

If you have a system with a standalone or enterprise version of our software, before you upgrade Windows, please deactivate the software to preserve the license; then reactivate it after upgrading. See Transferring Standalone Software 6.x/7.x to a New Computer or Transferring Standalone Software 5.x to a New Computer for the transfer procedure.

Windows Versions for License Server Software:

Starting with release 7.5.2, our license server software requires Windows Server 2008 or newer, or Windows 7 or newer.

UNIX:

At the present time, Palisade products are not supported on Linux or any other flavor of UNIX.

The following problem occurred after installing updates to a Windows 10 based PC with Office 2019: All MS Office applications doesn't open and display the error: 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application'.

The application error 0xc0000142 'The application was unable to start correctly', may appear when your try to open any Microsoft Office 2016 or 2019 program (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.), after installing the following Windows 10 Updates:

    1. KB4480116 : 2019-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10
    2. KB4481031 : 2019-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.7.2 for Windows 10
    3. KB4483235 : 2018-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10

This tutorial contains step by step instructions to fix the Error 0xC0000142 when you start an Office 2016/2019 application.

How to Fix: Application Error 0xC0000142 in MS Office 2016 or 2019.

Important: Before you continue to apply the methods below, navigate to Update and Security center and install all available updates. Best torrent client for mac 2020.

Method 1. Uninstall Latest Windows or Office Updates.

The first to resolve the error 0xc0000142 in Office programs, is to uninstall the latest Windows updates from your PC. To do that:

1. Simultaneously press the Windows + R keys to open run command box.
2. In run command box, type: appwiz.cpl and press Enter.

3. In Programs and Features click View Installed updates on the left.

4. Click at 'installed on' to sort the updates based on their installation date, and then select and uninstall all the latest Windows (or Office) updates.

5. When the uninstall process completed restart your computer.
6. After restart, open any Office application and check if the error 0x0000142 has resolved. If the error persists then follow the same steps and uninstall all the latest Updates, before you continue to the next method.

Method 2. Restore your System to a Previous Working State.

The next method to fix the Error '0xc0000142 – application was unable to start correctly' in Office 2016 or Office 2019, is to restore your PC to a previous state by using the Windows System Restore feature. To do that:

1. Simultaneously press the Windows + R keys to open run command box.
2. In run command box, type: rstrui and press Enter.

3. At the first screen of the System Restore wizard, click Next and then select a previous state and click Next to restore your system on that date.

4. When the system restore is completed, check if the error 0xc0000142 is resolved.

Method 3. Repair Office.

The final method to resolve the error 0xc0000142 in MS Office 2016/2019, is to repair the Office installation by following the steps below:

1. Simultaneously press the Windows + R keys to open run command box.
2. In run command box, type: appwiz.cpl and press Enter.

3. In Programs and features, select the Office version you have installed, and click Change.

4. Leave the Quick Repair option selected and click Repair.

5. When the Office repair process is completed, launch any Office application and see if the error persists. If the error '0xc0000142' appears again, then follow the same steps but this time select the Online Repair option. *

* Note: The 'Online Repair' process, will remove and then will reinstall all the Office applications on your PC. After, reinstall you may prompted to reactivate your Office product.
